@Mrs.Elivs:  I am interested in this. I drink so much green tea but not for fertility per se. I am curious as I didnt even know it increased CM, I thought it was “bad” as it contains caffine, so I have been cutting back! ugh, cant win!!

I had no idea this can help you get pregnant. I guess it can’t hurt to try. I’m on birth control and not TTC, and drink green tea often… always have. For the record, I have noticed no difference in my cm… ever.

ditto throughthebarricades:.  I’ve never noticed any chance in my cm and I drink a lot of green tea (just because I like it!) but I’m on BC and not TTC, so I’d be interested in finding out if it could effect my fertility when the time comes.

I am tagging this to follow.  I have a cup or cup and a half of green tea every day monday through friday. For years. Did not know it had anything to do with TTC…

@Mrs.Elivs:  I usually see it same day or the next day, I drink decaf so I can have 3-4 cups per day.

Be warned, this could be crazy and a bunch of crap, but I was told by a girl here on the Bee that green tea contains “tannic acid” which can inhibit implantation, so I don’t drink it after O. It could not be true and even she said that, but just in case…

You know, I’ve been drinking green tea almost every day for 2 months now in an effort to cut back on coffee.  I ususally only have 1 or 2 days of EWCM every cycle, and I can’t say I’ve noticed a change since starting the green tea.

I do take Mucinex from time to time when my lungs get congested, and I have noticed an increase in EWCM volume on some of the days I’ve taken it.  It’s not something I would recommend taking all the time though, as it can really overdry the sinuses.

@AEMalmostK:  That says both green and black teas reduce folic acid absorption (reduce, not totally inhibit).  And then there’s some other thread floating around here all “BeWaAaArRrE of herbal teEeEaAas! (ghost voice)”  So basically no tea.  I’m not even trying yet (well next cycle) and I’m already on overload on the million and one things one study found has a one in 50,000 chance of giving my hypothetical fetus malignant hiccups, I just can’t take it!

Sorry, I don’t mean to make light, just feeling silly and overwhelmed with all of this.

I just started drinking more this month, more for my cold/sore throat but I also started charting this month and paying more attention to CM. I’d say it lengthened the number of days I had EWCM.
