MissAmericanPie :  hello! I didn’t have a chemical pregnancy but a loss later on and I was told to wait longer because of my later loss but when discussing it with my OB he explained it’s best to wait a cycle at the least between a loss in order for more accurate dating purposes and to make sure your not registering HCG from a previous pregnancy on tests. It also allows the uterus a bit of a break to help build up a healthy lining again.

MissAmericanPie :  We didn’t. I MC’ed at 6.5 weeks and we decided to try that cycle since everything passed naturally. That’s the cycle I conceived my son. He turns one on the 27th. I’m so sorry for your loss and hope you get your rainbow baby very soon.

I had a chemical pregnancy at the beginning of November at 4w3ds. We didn’t wait to try again. My dr said we didn’t need to wait any amount of time.  I didn’t get pregnant that cycle so still trying.

I had a chemical pregnancy at 5 wk 1 day. By the time I had had all the doctors appointments and bloods done I was pregnant again. The chemical pregnancy ended in what was just like a normal period and then I mustve ovulated normally, found out I was pregnant again 4 wk 2 days.

My biggest thing has been trying to get anyone to take me seriously. Doc wants me back on the pill to regulate my hormones and bring back my period. I told him i had a bfp but he seemed sceptical and only ordered bloods after i insisted. Still havent received results and id be 6wk 1 day now. After he wrote me the referral he said “when it comes back negative you really do need to go on the pill, because your body is being lazy by not having a period”.

MissAmericanPie :  We waited a full cycle, but less because I wanted to and more because my body did NOT want to work right. I had a long cycle and didnt ovulate, its almost as if my body was confsed. My doctor didnt tell me to wait a cycle, if anything she encouraged me to keep trying immediately after.

I’m sorry to hear about your loss. We didn’t wait at all after my chemical. I passed tissue at 5w3days and exactly two weeks later, I ovulated again and I’m now 8 weeks pregnant with my rainbow baby. Some doctors say to wait so that they can date your pregnancy based on your last monthly period. I just counted the day I know I miscarried as day 1 of my next cycle. At my last ultrasound, the baby measured exactly where it should have using that date. I also temp so I know when I ovulated. Don’t worry about waiting. If you’re ready mentally, then there really is no physical reason to wait. Best of luck.

MissAmericanPie :  we tried again straight away after our chemical, and got pregnant straight away! But then miscarried again at 8 weeks. This time I’m waiting a cycle for everything to settle down & reset before trying again in January. Lots of love & luck to you!

MissAmericanPie :  I got pregnant 3 times in 3 months, 2 chemicals followed by a stickier baby, I’m 11 weeks now. My OB never said to take a cycle off. She said as long as my chemical resolved itself with a normal “period” I was fine to try again. If you’re charting and tracking ovulation there’s no issue with dating, my HCG did go down before I passed any tissue and each person is different but I would say just be diligent with OPKS this cycle so you can point to a new pregnancy if you do get pregnant.

So I had a chemical pregnancy, and the tests went negative at like 4 or 5 weeks, but I had no bleeding. I think I finally bled at about 8 weeks and my OB gave the all clear to start trying again immediately. I got pregnant that cycle with a sticky baby.
