You can start pulling things out and organizing! I would wait until Thanksgiving for the indoor stuff, but put the outside lights up before the weather is bad! Just don’t turn them on until Black Friday.

@LynnSnow:  Lol we found our christmas tree last night…it was huge and beautiful. We need a fake one because my son feels the need to play with them and I dont want my tree to be bald by xmas…Also I dont like the smell of pine.. (yes everyone can hunt me down now…lol)

@futuremrste:  My BFs Birthday is after thanksgiving this year its the day after (29th) his family didnt decorate until after his birthday. and when we moved intogether we do the same. Its only fare to have you bithday not overwhelmed by christmas!

My grandmothers birthday IS on christmas. so we do christmas pressents a quick clean up then we have a birthday party cake and all!

@Pixienickie:  Now I’m confused.  I thought that was Armistice Day/Veterans Day.  Or are those the same thing and just called by different names?

Generally I wait until December for the decorations inside the house, but it was always a tradition in my family to put up the outdoor decorations (lights, etc) on Grey Cup weekend (the Canadian version of the Super Bowl for the non-Canucks out there!)  I like getting the lights up before the driveway gets icy.
