OMG!!!! Congrats!!! How exciting 🙂
OMG!!!! Congrats!!! How exciting 🙂
Yay! How exciting, congrats!! I like the “dad” themed onesie… or maybe you could have the waitress at the restaurant sneak a pacifier or something baby related onto his plate 🙂
That is such awesome news! Congrats!!
YAY!!! I am SO excited for you! I logged on this morning just to see the (hopefully)good news!! I also can’t believe you have the patience to keep it a secret – I literally shoved the pee stick in my husband’s hand within 2 minutes. There was a thread on the baby board about cool ways to surprise him/the family. congrats!! (and start taking your prenatals if you haven’t already)
that’s so exciting!!
i just got goosebumps haha. congratulations!!
This is so exciting! Congratulations!!
If I think of any great ideas for the big reveal I’ll let you know… but whatever way you decide will be wonderful for him. After all, it’s not how you tell him, it’s WHAT you’re telling him!
awhhh YAY! Congrats! So exciting!!!!
You know what’s funny? When I read that you were peeing every two hours I said to myself “Oh yeah, she’s definitely pregnant!” Congratulations!!
You have so much more self-control than I do, I threw the test at DH (he was super excited too). I think giving him a cute onesie would be a great way to do it. They have them at Carters with sayings like “I love my Daddy” and stuff, and that would be cute. Or you could get him a “Congratulations” cigar (if he’s into that). Or maybe you could set it up with the restaurant when you get there for them to bring a desert with a candle on it (like for a birthday) and bring your own “0” candle to celebrate baby’s “not” birthday. Or maybe you could find a “World’s Best Dad” cake decoration.
@MS – so insightful! I forget that peeing all the time was the very first symptom for me! only I didn’t know that was something to watch out for at the time 🙂
Awww, congratulations! I love it when a thread works out like this, it is just like being at the movies 🙂
I also am really partial to the I love my Daddy onsie.
Yeah, I was figuring the same but holding my breath just in case!
As soon as you have an idea of a due date, please post in the “Baby List Thread”!
I have to admit that as soon as I saw the positive I said, “Oh sh*t” and passed the magic stick to Mr. DG… who promptly said, “Oh sh*t!” We had no surprises or big reveal 🙂
congrats to you!!!!! when my cousin found out she was pregnant they told their parents by giving them baby bibs that said “I love my Grandma/Grandpa”
although i am nowhere near baby-ready myself, i have to confess i have followed this thread because it’s just so darn exciting! congrats to you and the mr!
I’m so excited for you! Congratulations!!! I couldn’t keep it in until Friday, kudos to you! I think a cute onesie that says I Love Daddy or something like that is a great idea!
Awwwwww thanks everyone!!!!!!!!! I am soooooo excited this secret is harder to keep than when I threw a suprise birthday party for him a couple of years ago! I literally stared in bewilderment and suprise last night when the pee stick said pregnant. i was like a little giddy school girl…I had to share my news with someone so I wouldn’t tell him so you guys are literally the first people that know! lol…I think i’m going to go out and get him the “I love daddy” onesie or something like that to give to him tomorrow…and I might mail my mom and dad the grandpa/grandma t-shirts :)…they live in another city…
thank you for all the love hive! i didn’t know about the peeing…lol at least next time i’ll know…
