Here’s a fun Friday post (hopefully). Just saw this article about celebrity engagement rings from the bygone ages of Hollywood. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-3421708/Forget-Mariah-Carey-s-new-bling-Jackie-Kennedy-Grace-Kelly-infographic-details-dazzling-history-world-s-iconic-engagement-rings.html
The Kennedy ring is just out of this world! it has everything- but yet remains classy. Anyone else in love with it?!
I’m not very impressed by Audrey Hepburn’s, though.
And the Queen (my Queen haha, I’m British!)- the cut of her ring is gorgeous. I can’t believe I’d never seen it before! I love the way she has a plain no nonsense weddign ring too.
So bees, thoughts on these rings?

I read that too! I love Jackie-O’s (first) ring. I think Audrey Hepburn’s ring set was stunning and before her time. He got her the three bands so we would always have something that matched her clothing. I think she showed alot of class going small/ small and stoneless.

I love Audrey Hepburn’s rings. I think so many celebrities today get these ridiculously huge rings just because they can, and I hardly ever think they are pretty, but Audrey Hepburn’s are so simple and understated and very classy which very much fits her style.

The Queens and Kate’s are my favourites. I’m not really a fan of the massive ice rings on there but each to their own. I agree that Hepburn’s rings were classy.

Beautiful rings all around!! I hate how they had to snub MC to make a point.

I love Audrey’s understated ring. I’ve always been a fan of Jackie Kennedy’s ring. Liz Taylor’s has always been one of my favorites.

To be fair, I think Mariah’s new ring would fit right in here. It’s really classic.

Love Grace Kelly’s
a fellow bee pointed out that me and the queen have similar tastes!
the daily fail has it wrong though (there’s a surprise). Her maj has an old cut diamond, not a round brilliant. It would have been cut by hand.

I love Audrey Hepburn’s, due to the stackables and how appropriate it was for her. They truly all are gorgeous and really are a reflection of their different personalities and personal styles. Thanks for sharing this post. Fun to look through it.

Love the Kennedy ring, I have never seen it before!
Liz, Liz, Liz. I will always drool over Liz and that ring. She and the ring were absolutely stunning.

I actually LOVE Audrey’s rings but then again I’ve always been in love with her in general. But seriously, mixing metals and stacking? Ahead of her time! The Queens is absolutely amazing too! Those were my favorites 🙂 fun thread thank you OP

My favorite e-ring was worn by Clotilde, Princess of Venice and Piedmont
(It combined 1. stacking eternity bands, 2. ruby, and 3. hearts. Love it.)
