We picked up and paid off our wedding bands yesterday! Yay!! We giddily wore them around the house last night, and slept in them but put them back in box this morning to wait another 29 days.
FI’s band is a brushed tungsten carbide with beveled edges. He’d only tried it on for a few minutes in the store until yesterday. And seeing it on his hand I realized how thick it was. I really love the ring and he does too. I like the thick bands and think they have a masculine, strong appearance, and I think it fits Fiance. Obviously, I don’t think thinner bands AREN’T masculine…this band just suits him. It is on the thicker side of bands I’ve seen on WB, so I was curious. How thick is your FI/DH’s wedding band?
ETA: his is 9mm

Mine’s got a 6mm brushed palladium 🙂

We don’t have wedding bands yet but he has an engagement band and it’s 3mm. His hands are on the…uh…daintier side so the smaller band really suits him 🙂

Haha my guy’s hands are “daintier” too (like size 5.5 whaaat I know!) and also he finds rings super uncomfortable and has a phobia of them getting stuck on his finger. I don’t know if he ever will actually wear a ring… I’d like to hear suggestions as to whether a thinner or thicker band would be more comfortable in this case, and easier to forget it’s there.

@MrsSnowMountain: Wearing it last night, I was surprised to hear Fiance say that he really didn’t notice it. He has large man-hands with long fingers and when I noticed how wide the ring was, I wondered if it was cumbersome. He said it didn’t bother him and barely noticed it after a period of time. I think if your Fiance has smaller hands, he’d probably want to go with something thinner, but I really don’t know. Defintely a comfort fit band, though, with curved edges so it is more comfortable (?)

7 mm. He has huge hands but his fingers are long and narrow. The ring size is so small (for a man) that it came in marked “women’s wedding band”. LOL I haven’t had the heart to tell him.
Because his hands are so big a wider ring looked better.

DH’s ring is a 3mm band. I bought him a cute tungsten band to wear because he was jelous of my engagement ring (I got to wear one he didnt) and it was 7mm and although it looked great he complained about how big it was and he couldnt put his fingers together and asked for a 3mm band which is what his father and grandfather both had!! He loves it and has no issues wearing it like he did with his first ring!

My DH’s band is 8mm. It’s pretty wide, but it looks great on him!!

I am not sure.. probably at least 10mm. I made it so I like to make things substantial.

@GroovyHippieChick: Lol – aww! Don’t tell him. 🙂
I think his is an 8 or 9mm. He has giant hands, though, so it looks good! I think his ring size is a 14 or something ridiculous. My whole engagement ring can fit inside it, and I have a high setting!

My FI’s wedding band is 6mm which is a tad bit thinner than his engagement ring. I think his engagement ring is like 7.5 mm or something like that. His engagement ring is in tungsten carbide and his wedding band is in white gold.

We just got back from ordering my FI’s band! It will be 5.5mm… which means I can’t vote!

His is 9 and is massive looking when compaired to mine, haha. But his hands are pretty big so it looks good.

Fiance is looking into 6mm. Anything smaller looked awful on him!
