Bees I’m debating over whether or not to get my e-ring resized. It slides on and off quite easily with a little bit of resistance, but on days when my fingers are puffy it leaves a noticeable indent on my finger and can be a bit uncomfortable. My concern is that if I upsize it that it might end up too loose and possibly slip off. Just wondering how snugly you bees have your ring sized? Does my description sound like yours, or is yours already sized to give you some wiggle room on your “puffy” days?

Sounds like mine. When I’m well hydrated my ring is SUPER loose. But if I don’t drink enough water and I’m bloated its tight. I can always tell if I had way too much sodium the day before because I will wake up with my ring tight and it leaves me feeling disgusting. Unless you are really afraid you’re going to lose it due to how loose it is I would leave it.

@VeggieBee: The proper way a ring should fit is when it is more snug than loose. There should be some resistance everytime you take off your ring. So dont go up a size. Because your finger will always go up and down in size naturally (hot and cold climate).

mine spins and at first was quite irritating but you get used to it, after a while you become conscious od it and feel for it and automatically adjust it without thinking. Also you dont ofter have your finger open straight so dont worry too muchh

Mine fits perfectly. Only when it’s cold does it spin a little. But it usually lasts only till I warm up so its no big deal to me.

I had mine made half a size smaller as when I vigorously shook my hand it flew off. It is now snug and I can’t get it off if my hands are really hot but otherwise it is perfect. I wouldn’t make it bigger personally. How long have you been wearing it?

Mine fits exactly how you are describing and my jeweler actually said that I should go down .25 (I didn’t because that’s not as comfortable though). I think yours is fitting properly.

Thanks for the feedback bees! It sounds like I should probably leave it as is. Although maybe I’ll consider going up .25.
@British_Bride: I’ve been wearing it for about 2 months. Most of the time it’s ok but when it’s snug it’s pretty uncomfortable.

Mine fits a little loose. Just because I have kinda giant knuckles. Lol

I would wait until summer and see how you feel about it then.
My ring is actually a tad bit loose right now, but I’m assuming it’s the cold weather.

I like mine somewhat loose. I feel like rings that “fit” me correctly make my fingers look fat, even though they definitely are not. I tested sizes by vigorously shaking my hand back and forth 10-20 times as hard as I can. The loosest ring that passes that test is the size I want. Plus I want to make sure there’s wiggle room for the times in life when I’ll need more space, like the 3rd trimester, etc.

Mine is easy to take on and off. I have small knuckles.
It cannot be “flicked” off unless I really WHIP my hand aggressively at least 20 times or so. This process involves it gradually inching a tiny bit with each aggressive whip of my arm.
Normally there is no fingerfat pinching at all. It does not rotate much.
On my most bloated moments, it does pinch my fingerfat in a way that doesn’t please my eye, and can be hard to cram on (normally “cram” is not how I would describe putting on my ring), but it doesn’t hurt to wear.
On the coldest days, it feels a bit loose…and will rotate to the side fairly easily, so I am extra-careful not to flick my hand.
I’m pretty sure this is the best size for me, all things considered.
I assume those with large knuckles have their own set of challenges with their ring, but they probably don’t have to worry about it ever flying off!

I would look into having it re-sized. Mine is noticeably looser now (in the cold) than during the hot summer months so it might get even tighter and more uncomfortable as it warms up.

I have two ringsand they’re 5.5 and a six. I didn’t like how the bigger one spins aroundin place and the other one i occasionally have a hard time getting off when my fingers are swollen but still comfortable and doesn’tcut off circulation oranything 😛 when i resized mine i only hadoptions for half sizes not fourth, but maybe resizeby a fourth of a size if possible?

Right now, my ring fits securely enough so that I can shake my hand around without it flying off (or even feeling like it might), but I can still take it off without a struggle or scraping my knuckle skin (it helps that i have basically no knuckle). I find it very comfortable.
I’ve only ever worn my ring in winter, though, so I’m interested to see how it fits in the summer. I know my fingers feel a bit swollen after spending a lot of time out in the heat or after walking a while (and I take long walks every day in the summer), so I hope my ring doesn’t get uncomfortable/stuck on my finger.
If you do end up making your ring bigger, you can always wear a ring snuggie to make it fit tighter when your fingers are feeling slimmer. This one seems pretty low-profile.
