A friend of mine did a “love lasts” table at her wedding where she had a bunch of old and new photographs of marriages that have lasted throughout all the good and bad times. Maybe you can incorporate that in the event with their photos? People can walk by and just enjoy them.

P.S. A warm toast at the dinner table would be something I’d also do to honor them and and celebrate them and their marriage 🙂

Best wishes, hope I could be of help.

I am going to recognize my parents 50th wedding anniversary at our wedding. I am having our cake maker make an additional cake and they are going to hold it in the back. After we cut our cake I am going to have them wheel our my parents cake and surprise them with cutting there cake in front of all of us then I am going to have them have a private dance to there wedding song. I am soooo excited to do this because they celebrated there 50th last october but we couldn’t afford to be there (they live in FL we live in NYC) due to wedding budget. I hope it all works out – I got them an engraved cake topper and cake cutters 🙂 yay Best of luck with your ideas!
