I tried on a dress (which was almost “the one”) which had 2 layers in the bodice.  The first part was the corset, which had boning and support like a bra, and laced up to create a defining silhouette.  The second layer was a very lightweight fabric (chiffon maybe?  I can’t remember) which buttoned up the back of the dress.  Here is a picture of what it looked like:

@Budgeting in Seattle:  I think your dress is gorgeous just the way it is!!! Classic and elegant.

First, I wanted to say that is a BEAUTIFUL DRESS!  You look fantastic in it.  That’s actually very close to the dress I picked.

If she really wanted to add something, maybe ask the bridal shop if they can add some bling to the train.  I’m going to throw another picture of me in here because our dresses are so similar, but I have a little detail on the train.

@Budgeting in Seattle:  Gorgeous! What about a lace trim veil? Statement necklace? Big bracelet? You could wear a lace bolero/shrug for some detail. There’s so much you can do! but if you decide to do nothing at all, you’ll still look stunning!

P.S. It fits you like a glove! I think you should keep the buttons πŸ™‚

@Budgeting in Seattle:  The dress is beautiful by itself honestly. Sometimes less is more. πŸ™‚ But if you wanted to up the dress up a bit I would agree with PP to add some blingy accesories like a veil that has beading on it similar to the dress. Also adding a headpiece, bracelet, necklace, and earrings may help or any combination of those! But the dress is very pretty on its own!

@Budgeting in Seattle:  Your gown is so lovely!  Not sure that you’ll need to add anything once you have your jewelry and veil on.  However, you may want to consider getting a brooch of some sort to wear at the waist?  Similar to what my BM’s wore:

A fabulous veil! Think beaded, lace, etc!
