I saw a really funny pinterest photo for asking for a girlfriend out but I think changing it to a bridesmaid would be funny: My girls aren’t very sappy and neither am . The plan: you order a pizza with extra cheese and write in the lid of the box (so it is seen when open) will you be my bridesmaid? or is this too cheesy for you?…..depending where you live it could probably be easy enough to get the pizza delivered with a six pack so they can enjoy your little joke. Sentimental ideas are great too, you just need to find your style.

This is what I did to ask my Maid/Matron of Honor (100% DIY), I originally saw something like it that one of the other bees here had done.  I used this as her invite as well since we aren’t sending out save the dates and she’ll be coming in from out of town.  I’ll post up a pic heavy explanation in DIY if you want.

box was made with cardboard, newspaper, mod podge, tacky glue, ribbon

necklace was made with an old watch face and left over materials from my bridal jewelry

overall cost to make: $15

Here’s the link for what I posted to DIY http://diy.weddingbee.com/topic/budget-friendly-diy-inviterequest-for-moh-pic-heavy.  You can fully customize the gift box with anything you can cut out or print.  I think it’s great that you’re going the extra step to make his cousins feel involved and special, it’ll really mean a lot to them I’m sure.  Feel free to msg me if you have any questions Smile!

I had my Maid/Matron of Honor go dress shoping with me ( she already knew she was going to be A Bridesmaid or Best Man but I’m sure they’d be willing to go with! ) and then when she tried on a dress I slipped a sash that said Maid of honor over her – she started screaming yes and awe before i could ask =]

also ring pops are traditional – I orginally was going to do this but.. urm it melted before I got to haha darn heat!

as a college student- I would so try and contact a friend or roomate and set up something EPIC!!!!

Aww all of these are so cute? I wrote a little note and asked them in person. Nothing over the top, but wine was involved in all of them, obviously.
