    Dont think she needs to be asked to stepdown. But its pretty rude to add on guest especially a kid to a kid free wedding. Besides 2 is not an infant. Her sister can babysit.

    Don’t ask her to step down, you’re just flustered, that’s all. You don’t need to feel guilty for not letting her pay for the sister and the baby to be there, that just complicates things. I think the offer you made about you totally understanding that she might need to leave the reception a bit early is cool, and should solve the dilemma. Besides, if her 2 year old is there, she’s probably going to leave earlier anyway. I’d be furstrated if my bridesmaid or any guest for that matter, said “i’ll pay for these people if you let them come.” So awkward.
