Hey Bees,
So I am planning on having 3 bridesmaids, my sister and two friends. All of them live in different states. I was thinking of sending them this card below and sending them a cute necklace. Do you think it is weird to send it by mail and not ask them in person (I probably wont see two of them until March/April and would like to ask sooner)? My wedding is August 2015, when should I ask?
Thanks!

Rifle paper makes the prettiest stationary! I love the card
My friend lives in another province and she mailed us all cards along with some colour swatch ideas for dresses etc. It was really sweet and I called her right away to say yes. I say do it!

Thats a cute idea! My wedding is also in August 2015 and we asked our bridal party in September. We figured the earlier they knew the better, and also we are doing a destination wedding so it takes time for everyone to plan.
If I were you I wouldn’t wait until March/April because then they could miss out on doing all the fun wedding planning stuff with you!
I gave my Bridesmaid’s tie the knot bracelets that I got from Etsy, they were under $10 each and were a big hit! The plan is for everyone to wear them during the ceremony too. So you could do the same thing with the necklace!

sunflower1214: I wasn’t able to see my sisters or best friends when I wanted to ask them to be bridesmaids and Maid/Matron of Honor. Honestly, they all assumed they were being asked to be bridesmaids, so the card was more of an extra thing I wanted to do. I wrote them all a sweet note thanking them and telling them why I chose them.
