How to attach Bride/Groom onto a chair with covers

You can see in the picture that they are tied on with ribbon that matches the color of the chair cover so it blends. Zoom in and look at the G and the M in groom and the B and E in bride.

It’s a loop. It’s tied to each end of the word and then slipped over the chair. As long as it’s tight enough it should stay. You could probably use pins to make sure it’s more secure.

ETA: I think using fishing wire will make it tricker than if you use ribbon.

faerie87 :  I agree with hikingbride that a ribbon would probably work out (and look) 10x better than fishing line. It doesn’t necessarily have to match as well as the inspiration picture though. You could find ribbon in another color that compliments the sashes or even go with another color in your overall color scheme. I’m not sure how they did it in the picture but if the ribbon is tight enough against the sash it really shouldn’t slip. 

Are your chairs exactly like these or are they folding/banquet chairs? I think the way you end up attaching the ribbon will really be heavily dependent upon what kind of chairs you need to attach them to.
