So with 127 days left until the big day [insert panic], I have now thrown things into high gear and started to DIY some little things here and there. So I attempted my birdcage decorations tonight, and I’m pretty pleased, accept I am trying to figure out how to “neatly” attach the signage to the ribbon.
Anyone that has done this, knows that you have to pull the ribbon taught, so that it’s not loose around the bars. So I had initially made a “belt loop” thingy on the back of the sign, to pull the ribbon through. It didnt really work. Is there some other way you girls have used to accomplish this?
I’ll post a final picture when Im done, but this is what I have.. (just hanging with tape right now)…

Bump, for the morning bunch 🙂

Personally I would have used hot glue to attach the sign to the ribbon first, before attaching the ribbon to the cage

I would suggest using clear hot melt glue and just attach it in a few places as inconspiciously as you can. It looks like they weaved the ribbon through on this one, so hopefully you can do that on your’s too -maybe with glue just behind the card and in a few places along the way to keep it up.

Thanks ladies. The one above IS the one Im working on right now. I just posted it to show that the two “loose” ends of the ribbon meet right behind the signage, and thats what im trying to figure out how to attach without being able to see looking through the back of the cage.
The only other thing is use the belt loop i made on the back of the card to pull the ribbon through, and then find a way to close the two loose ends on the back some how. But I’m trying to hide it. hmmm
