(Closed) How to avoid long lines at reception food stations?

You could only allow certain tables to go up at a time, and have the DJ announce the next group.

Also, if it’s possible to have both sides open on the buffet, that will speed things up too.

 

ETA: Oops, just read food stations, have 2 serving utensils if it’s not really a buffet.

Could your food stations be set up in different areas of the room?  I think one big problem is when the stations are side by side so everyone crowds in to one area.  Spread out, it should mean shorter lines.
