Hi Bees, I was just wondering how you booked your honeymoon. Did you guys go through travel agents, and if so, who?? or did you just go through websites (ie: expedia, travelocity, orbitz, etc..) or hotel websites? Let me know how you guys did this..Fiance and I are starting to do our honeymoon stuff but aren’t sure who to book through. Thanks!!

In large part if will depend on where you decide to go: caribbean, hawaii, europe, africa, etc that will determine the easiest booking channel!

We’re planning our honeymoon the same way we’ve planned all our other in and out-of-country trips. Check Kayak for the best plane fares. Check Tripadvisor for the best hotels and restaurants. Book directly through individual websites. We’re very not resort sort of people. We have had some absolutely incredible trips though.

We booked ours using a combination of Trip Advisor, Priceline, Southwest and individual hotel websites. It took a lot of time and research but I got some amazing deals! I am super cheap and refuse to pay someone else for something I can easily do (silly I know). If you are looking for something fast and easy- hire a travel agent. If you don’t mind doing the legwork yourself, go for it!

We booked our cruise through the cruiseline, and the airfare through Expedia. We haven’t booked our pre and post-cruise hotel rooms yet, but will shop around for the best deal. I’m pretty loyal to Expedia and basically use them for everything because they send me coupons a lot.

We did a combination of everything. We booked our hotels through the website, and found the airfare through Kayak, but booked through the airline’s website.
