Honestly, it is so pretty, other than your tables, centerpeices, I wouldn’t do very much decor. Maybe alittle bit of flowers, but the venue itself is gorgeous.

You’re asking for advice on just how to decorate the ceremony, not the reception, right?

I think that room is lovely for a ceremony. I don’t think it needs much, especially if you would be standing in front of the windows while exchanging vows. I would say maybe a nice aisle runner (can get one cheap on ebay, I bought a lace one to “spruce up” my plain venue) and possibly a plant or two near the front. I don’t think you need much more than that, I love the simple elegance of the room.

Honestly the inside is so pretty, I don’t think you will have to plan on doing much & you don’t want to spend $ on a space you may not even use.

My back up plan was to hang paper lanterns inside if it was raining, or outside in the trees if it wasn’t. That way I spent $ wisely, b/c in both situations I would use them.

I think that keeping the decor simple will be key, and like the idea of a aisle runner. Maybe also lining the aisle w/ vases & candles b/c I think this would look pretty if you line the aisle in front of the pool & will look very lovely inside as well.

I’m going to agree with several other posts, I think your backup room really doesn’t need a whole lot.  I’m glad I saw this post because I’ve been forgetting that I have to think about the “just in case it rains room” as well!  My backup room is not as pretty as yours but it does have windows on both sides and a fireplace in the back BUT, on either side of the fire place are the men’s and women’s bathrooms…I’ll have to dig up a picture to see how noticable they are.

I’m thinking of using paper parasols pushed against the sides of the chairs of the aisle for our rain back up plan.  Hope none of us need such a plan!
