I did mine “alphabetical” (which also happened to be my favorites closest – sneaky sneaky)

I had my moh closest, my two best friends next (a and j) which I worked out as the alphabetical and we had an extra bridesmaid so I sold that to the one who went last (dh’s sister – k) as they got to be closer because she got a groomsmen (that happened to be her boyfriend) to herself.

You can do it however you want.  I did my MOH, then my 2 closest friends, then 3 who were family.  I don’t think anyone notices a “favorites” order, but alphabetical or height is the best way if you don’t want to feel like you’re picking on anyone.

I’m doing favorites, and I don’t care if they don’t like it this is my wedding and they agreed to be in it. But honestly after you get past my MOH, I couldn’t really figure out favorites so i did it in order of knowing them after the first 2

I’m doing MOH and then height-wise for everyone else.

I did height, which was probably also degree-of-closeness based on length of time knowing them. i can’t say it as “Favorites” order, but it was harder for DH, so making it a “height” rule on both sides really helped. But asking them all their heights made it clear that we were using that order, so that was great.

Mine are in order of KIND of how long I’ve known them.  My maid of honor and I grew up together (and I was her maid of honor), then it’s my two best friends from college (we all lived on the same hall freshman year), and then my best friend from graduate school.  One of the best friends from college is my fiance’s younger sister, so she will be after my maid of honor.

I’m doing the order I asked them in.

I did it by how long I have known everyone. I had 7 girls, 2 are my sisters and were my MOHs. The rest I did by how long I knew them except my now SIL, who I threw in there after my best friend of 21 years, because since she was becoming family I thought it was important that she be higher up.
