(Closed) How to coordinate and outdoor ceremony

Pay someone. Hire a DOC (day of coordinator) and let them take care of the set up/take down crew. Trust me on this.

I’d like to see the responses to this, although I am leaning towards getting a DOC as well

You need to get either a friend or family member to do it or you would want to do what the other people said and hire a DOC.  I am going to be working with my family to set up my outdoor venue.  However, I have my place all day to myself so it isn’t a public location.  I am setting it up in the morning and then leaving to go get ready for the wedding.

Hmm. We are having our ceremony outdoors but the reception somewhere else. The company we rent the chairs from will also do setup and breakdown of chairs. We’re also hiring a sound guy for speakers and mics.

Decorators do the chairs, tables,etc set up and then caterers do the candy buffet.  Search for someone who does outdoor weddings

yep, you need a doc. if it’s out of your budget, designate a few good friends to take charge of this. i wouldn’t expect a caterer to set up a candy buffet unless somehow they’re providing the candy – that would be doc’s job.

Family and Friends will be helping us.  We get the park from 2 to 10 pm.

This is a very rough plan

1:30: I’ll have my hair and make-up done by this time.  I’m going to the restaurant to give them centerpieces and finalize anything.

2:00- Fiance, family and friends set up the pavilion.  Keeping decorations easy to put up and take down. 

2:30: Meet everyone at the park to check things over and help out

3:00:  Run to the hotel to get my dress on and get ready.

4:00: Wedding.

4:30:  Photos with everyone (small wedding)

5:00:  While we are doing photos of just us.  Family will help get the chairs put up and take down decoration, then head off the restaurant.
