I think it depends on how formal your wedding is.  We had a semi-formal wedding.  My girls all had very different body types.  I told them what length and colors I wanted the dresses, then let them pick them for themselves

I went with Alfred Sung dresses in a fabric and color and let them pick.  They all started picking different dresses.   I ended up of letting it become first come first serve because only 2 were repeating so they just ended up choosing a similar but slightly different styles.

@Ellyson:  I’ve had girls rewear theirs already!  I wish I hadn’t gone with pleats, though. I didn’t realize how poofy the would be, which may make them not wear them.

I just picked a color I liked at DB and told them to all pick a shorter style dress in that color. I wanted them all different so after someone picked one i told them that one was taken. I think it turned out great.

@Mars62312:  Um Ilove the one with the sleeves! Eyeballing that for my BMs!

OP I think if yoy give them kind of guidelines as far as fabric and color, it will all work out:)

I also went with Alfred Sung.  Actually, my girls just picked them last week!

What I did was, I chose 20 different dresses (same colour and material) and told the girls to pick which one they liked! I chose a variety of dress styles to try and appeal to their different tastes.  It was on a first come, first serve basis and all the girls ended up picking something different that was flattering to them!

If you pick out a selection for them to choose from, that is one way to make sure they “flow” altogether, no matter what they all end up picking!
