The first thing that popped into my head was a card w/ their name on it w/ slits cut on the sides to slip it over the top of the shot glass. You could do them in triangle to anchor down the back, so they don’t flop over. Does that make any sense?

Oooo, maybe some sort of paper "halo" with the guest’s name written on it, slipped around the mouth part of the glass?

What about slipping the name into the shot glasses like a fortune cookie size slip?

Okay I finally learned how to properly scan my half-arse drawing :-/ Does this make more sense?

hmm i dont know about the moss or flower in the glass if you are going to toast with them. I think you could still put a flag in each of them with the name. I kind of like that idea.

I agree with Frenchie’s idea, you may be able to find rolodex refills that could work, that way you don’t have to try to cut them all out!

put jelly bellies (is that a word??)  in the shot glass

do you have "wedding colors"? this is a great way to display them. if not, just choose one or two vibrant jelly belly colors. or any other hard candy that will not melt.

you can put their names on a ribbon and the ribbon can go over the shot glass like a bridge and sit on the mouth (both sides of the ribbon would be anchored by the jelly bellies.

my fiance’s culture also toasts with vodka shots, so we are doing shot glasses too. i am just going to display the glasses on the dining table though because i have other ideas for their escort cards (i’m actually using escort envelopes). i am going to attach a note to the vodka bottles displayed on the table explaining the tradition, so that those that are not in the know don’t think we are reverting back to our old college days….lol.

i just read your idea about the flag…you could do it, but instead of the moss (yuk!), use the jelly belly or other hard candy. the color display will be awesome!

Oooh I love the idea of puting some pretty colored candy (personalized M&Ms??) and then put a "flag" sticking out of it!  What a great pop of color!

Okay, I’m not Russian or even getting married, but this is the darn coolest idea! I love the tiny candy and flag, but I’m also thinking you could tie a little ribbon around the glass w/name tag attached (you could print to whatever size needed on vellum paper then cut out). Use ‘zots’ glue dots to hold ribbon on to glass & prevent slipping. Maybe stack glasses on cake plate or tower for display? Have fun!
