I am wondering how to distinguish the best man from the other groomsmen. There are 11 groomsmen, so while everyone will be able to tell he is the best man while the guys are up there, nothing will make him stand out in pictures or during the rest of the wedding festivities. My Maid/Matron of Honor has a distinctive bouquet, as well as a real flower hair comb (being made by the florist) that will be in her hair. I was thinking of maybe a distinctive boutonneire (sp?)…any ideas?

I would say what you said, a different boutonniere, maybe a different color, or a little bit bigger, or a different type of flower.
I have also seen people do a different color tie for the best man.

Ours will look the same as the rest, but I’ve seen best men before in different colored vests/ties to make them stand out.
If you’re wanting him to be able to stand out at the reception (or any other non-ceremony times), those jackets are going to come off offly quick, so a different boutonniere probably won’t help you much there.

What about a distinctive pocket square?

I just read your other posting which said your groomsmen were going to be in the green color for their ties. Would the best man be up for doing the fushia? My Fiance was in a wedding last summer where all the guys wore hot pink vests and ties and they looked great.
