We are having a destination wedding and I’m hoping to provide the guests with welcome bags. We are arriving at the hotel the same day as all our guests, so I can’t leave them with the hotel to hand out as people check in.
I probably won’t know where everyone is staying in the hotel, so I also won’t be able to drop them off myself.
We are having a welcome breakfast the day after everyone arrives, but that seems too late.
Any ideas on how to get these bags to our guests the day they arrive?

I think you should just go with giving the gifts at the welcome breakfast. That way you are not short on time when you arrive. If you really feel like you need to hand them out the same day, then get a room list of your guests and visit them around 10. You also maybe able to tip a maid to go around with you and she can open the door and drop it off right inside if they are not present (don’t really know if this is an option though)

You can still tip the bellman to deliver the bags to the rooms as soon as possible after the rooms are cleaned. He can get a list of the room assignments from the front desk.
Or, you could send the Out of Town bags ahead to be distributed before any of you arrive,

Leave them at the front desk- the hotel shouldn’t have a problem with calling your guests and letting them know there’s a package for them.

good question, I have wondered that myself & good answers, maybe I will try to have them put in guests rooms although giving them in person at a welcome breakfast is nice as at least you get to see them receve it. Have left gifts for people at hotels before at reception & they never got mentioned again, dont know if they didnt receive it or if they forgot to say thanks??
