We’re assigning tables. My venue has a site that offers a floor plan, so I messed around with it, printed it out, and then blew it up to 11×17″ at work. I have page flags that I’ll write names on and stick ’em at tables so that I can move them around. I’m a visual person, so I like seeing where everyone is.

I put each guest ocouple’s names on a thin stickuse and used the floor plan from our venue to map the tables out on a piece of poster board. I knew where I wanted my husband and me, the bridal party, and our parents, so I just took it from there and created extended family tables, friend tables, etc.

This is what me, my Future Mother-In-Law and Mom did and it was GREAT! If we figured out someone had to move, just pick a tab and move it. Made life SO easy- especially if you’re a visual person, as I am 🙂

I also color coded ours…. Green = his family, Pink = my family, Yellow = friends   Blue = wedding party, and orange = our pastor 😀

The seating chart on The Knot is really awesome and easy to use.
