Hi ladies! So I need some help. With valentines day around the corner, I want to do something special for my Fiance. Now Im going to give you some back story but before I do, I just want to throw a disclaimer out there about our life choices, they might not be for everyone and I completely understand and respect others choices so please respect mine.
My fiance and I have been dating for nearly 3 years. I dont know if people would consider our relationship long distance or not but to us it is. My fiance works as a sub contractor in the city thats about 2 1/2 hours away. The first year of us dating it was amazing. He came to see me everyday. ( literally ) He would drive to the city and back every day just to see me. Then once our relationship got a bit more serious, we decided we wanted to start saving money, so he would come back every other day in the evening and we would go out to dinner and a movie. We dont want to live together just yet, because of religious views. Now that we are about roughly a year out from the wedding, he has been working insanely! He will pull 18 hour or more shifts every day. He comes sees me about once a week now, but he doesnt take any days off. ( basically hes in charge of his own schedule, the less he works the less money he makes and vice versa.)
But when he does come home I am so tired from working too that we end up talking for about an hour and we part ways. Lately I have been pulling 50-60 hour weeks, and its not easy. With so much stress between the two of us I want to treat us for a fun valentines date. Last year he took me to a really nice restaurant in the city and it was a 4 hour commute there and another 4 hour commute back, which is my reasoning for celebrating valentines day on the 21st of february this year. (plus i have to work a 12 hour shift on v-day)
So far I have planned a really nice brunch at this fancy venue that we have been looking at for our wedding but havent gotten the chance to see yet, yay! What else can i plan? I want to do activities, but we are definetly more of the relaxing type as opposed to adventourous. Also what little things can I get for him? I want to really show him how thankful I am for all his hard work.
