there are several different ways to create this. Most common fabric used is muslim fabric. its light and airy comes in white or off white. Now to create it…well that can be done several ways….you can do a curtain panels and use a rod to create it on each side of the doors…then you would take a strip of muslim and tie it in the middle and hook it on the side to create the bellowing look. Or you can do what I did for mine….Take a strip of muslim fabric and drape it from the corners and pin it at the top of the door frame to hold it up…then use the fabric strip to tie in the middle to create the drape look!

Here is how mine looks between the colums…you can scale it down to for the barn doors!

oh and you can do one more option…you can attach the fabric to a 1 X 4 board- we stappled it we did the outter edges and worked our way to the middle…we did pleates then we turned the board over once and then attached it to the frame and it will create the curtain effect like the picture….just use the strip of fabric to tie it in the middle to get the fullness at top!

hope this helps!
