My best friend just got married on Friday 11/11/11. She really wanted to get her bouquet preserved but her now husband vetoed the idea. While away on her honeymoon I plan to try to attempt to dry her flowers my self. She had pretty hardy flowers like cala lillies fiddle head ferns, and mums. I have access to a dehydrator but I dont know if that would work best or if there are other ideas or suggestions.

@FutureMrsChaney: I simply hung my bouquet upside down in a dark closet for 2 weeks. They dried perfectly and I am in the process of putting them in a shadow box with hubs boutonniere. Actually, my Maid/Matron of Honor forgot to take her bouquet home when she left that day, so I didnt mention it to her that she forgot it, and I dried hers and am putting that in a shadow box as well as sort of an extra special thank you. My/our bouquet is also all red roses and greenery. I heard that roses do very well with this method of preserving, but other flowers may not. Search around on the internet for those specific flowers and see what suggestions you can find.

I’ve always had success with hanging flowers upside down also, but maybe not all flowers will do well? Call a florist and ask for their advice. They would be able to tell you if you can’t find answers online.
