@di5308- what a thoughtful gesture! I have a few thoughts/suggestions:

I opened up the jpg in photoshop and I noticed that the resolution is only 72 at 11″ x14″. For printing a good quality image, 300 dpi is best. I would suggest decreasing the size to 7″x 5″, then change the resolution to 300. That will develop a much better quality for printing.

With the smaller size (7″ x 5″), you can create a nice crop focusing more on your parents and less on the grounds. I might enhance the photo by playing with the saturation. (Image > adjustments > Hue/ saturation). Decrease the saturation to about -30. Then maybe blur the background of the photo slightly.

Also be sure to change the color mode to CMYK instead of RGB for printing. (for web you’d use RGB, anything printing is always CMYK)

Hope that may give you some ideas! Feel free to PM me if you’d like. 🙂

If you like, I can make edits for you. I’m a graphic designer and it’s sort of part of my job. Smile

If you could provide me with the highest-quality version of the image I can give you a few options.. feel free to message me if you want to go that route!

It looks like the image is slightly crooked. You can straighten it by going to Image -> Rotate Canvas -> Arbitrary and then doing just 2 or 3 degrees clockwise.

What happened to the parents album? Do you think they would prefer one of their professional photos, or do you think the reason they didn’t purchase any is because they were unhappy with them and you think they will like this one better? How long has it been since the wedding … maybe they are still waiting for the CD for cheaper printing options.
