- Wedding: August 2012
Just as some background, we got married in August and our first 3 months haven’t been anything like we thought they would be.
Both of us work for a campus ministry that requires us to raise our own financial support (we’re considered domestic missionaries). My Darling Husband has worked for this ministry for 3 years and had an increase when we got married to cover health insurance. I just graduated and have to raise my entire amount. We’ve been working for the past 5 months on this and have reached 77% of our goal. While this is great, we’re still not at 100% and both of us are discouraged. His boss texted today and he needs to meet with the executive director and his boss next week to talk about where we are and that we’ve missed deadlines.
On top of that, our sex life hasn’t been easy either. We were both virgins coming in and it’s been hard. Endometriosis and PCOS are not friendly bed companions!
Everytime we turn around, he feels like a failure and I don’t know how to help encourage him. I’ve tried, but it doesn’t feel like I’m getting anywhere. Does anyone have any idea on how I can help him? I hate seeing him so discouraged and frustrated.
