@swanks4tw:  I think just saying that you are in pain, and need to go home may be sufficient?

Legally, you do not have to tell him exactly what is going on.  You may need a doctor note though.  Personally, I would say that you have had some reoccuring health issues in the past few years and that you might be having a flare up and need some time away from work to get better.

I would just say you have an upset stomach and leave it at that. Go home and do what you gotta do so you can come back to work tomorrow, although you may want to go see a doctor, just to be on the safe side.

You are not required to share your medical information with your emoloyer. However, sometimes it does help an employer to know what’s going on with you.

Having a cyst on your ovary is not anything that you need to keep quiet or confidential. It does not reflect poorly on you in any way.

“I am sorry, but I have to go home. I have a cyst on my ovary and my pain is 8/10 right now. I will keep you updated about my return to work.”

@swanks4tw: I’m glad we could help.  And with that, I really hope some time away from work will help and that you get feeling better soon.

I would say you are having some abdominal pain (could ve stomach, could be lady parts) and you need to go home.

Hope you feel better!
