One thing you can do is sign up for the ATL version of Daily Candy.  I’ve seen a few through their emails.

I think that most of the big bridal shows also have sample sales.  I went to a bridal show in January put on by the "Perfect Wedding Guide" people.  I not only got in free with 3 friends, but I also found my dress at the sample sale!

So I would recommend searching "bridal show Atlanta" and I’m sure you’ll find something coming up soon.

Also, it doesn’t list your wedding date, so this might not work for you, but Filene’s Basement does a "running of the brides" wedding dress sale every March.  Apparently you can get some super deals there.

If you’ve narrowed down the designers that you like, you can see when the local bridal stores are having trunk shows.  The discounts aren’t as great as sample sales, but the dresses are usually less expensive and sometimes you even get to meet the designer in person.

I had a friend who met Melissa Sweet at Priscilla of Boston and told her exactly what she wanted, and she made it for her.
