Ok, so I’ve been a bit obsessed with babies lately since we finally agreed to start TTC at the end of this summer. I need to somehow get it off my brain, so I can enjoy the next few months. Is this possible?
I’ve already started to refrain from clicking the ‘babies’ board or the ‘nesting’ board here on WB.

Try enjoying your time as a married couple as much as you can. I REALLY wish we could have time to be a couple because having a baby really changes things not in a bad way but it does and once you have a baby theres no going back LOL So just think of the peace and quiet you have now =)

I’ve got it on the brain too! –I’ve even gone so far as to do a “mashup” of our pics to see what our baby would look like (it’s like a facebook quiz, i didnt spend hours photoshopping or anything!) but its out of control…stalking baby boards and making a list of potential names….sheesh. and we are not trying until the end of summer.

I feel the same way- need to do something about this baby fever! My husband and I would technically be TTC now but are both going through some health issues that are putting our plans on hold 🙁 I so wish we could get pregnant now. Its crazy how much I want to have kids!

Before we started TTC I drank a lot. More than I usually would, because I had this whole “Well once I’m pregnant I can’t do this” thing going on. I also ate a lot of sushi, and brie, and made a point to seek out and savor all the things I knew that I wouldn’t be able to have later. I had a pre-TTC bucket list, and checking things off of it took my mind off the wanting to get started TTC sooner thing. The only thing I really didn’t get to was skydiving. I’d still do it now, even though we’re TTC (at least like right this week, since AF is in town), but it’s frigid out.

We baby sat my niece this weekend, and she projectile vomited all over her cat/sofa.
I find that to be pretty effective in getting rid of baby fever ;-).

Just read through this board. Got rid of my baby fever in a hurry. And I had it BAD!
On what your “Big Girl Areas” are like after a baby.
No, seriously. Read it.

Well the way I keep babies off the brain when I get the fever, is I take a quick trip to Wal-Mart and see the little buggers there that cry non-stop… or I babysit newborns or little monsters I happen to be related to lol.
It puts things in perspective for me and helps me to remember to enjoy life now. Before focusing on children.
