I like to drink something nice and sugary on my way to the ultrasound place. Think fruit juice or soda. So far, it’s had our little girl squirming around every time.

I’ve heard orange juice works.

Orange juice could work, but it could also make your little one too wiggly to get the proper visualizations. I ate about an hour and half before my anatomy scan and made sure my bladder was nice and full. Baby was in the top part of my uterus, very visible. I drank orange juice 30 minutes before my fetal echoradiogram and baby was movng around like a wiggle worm and the tech had a hard time getting all the measurements. I think it all depends on how your little one reacts to what you eat or drink.

Like the other ladies, I’ve heard juice is great.  I drank orange juice for breakfast and had an ultrasound done around lunch time, the tech kept saying “stop moving around in there!” guess baby was pretty active from the sugar 🙂  A friend of mine said she drank 3 cups of coffee before having one done… I wouldn’t recommend that…
