“Yo, I’m gonna let you finish but uh, we’re about to have the greatest wedding of all time. OF ALL TIME.”

Music! A sudden change in the volume of the music can be perfect. While they’re sitting down, you can have really, really soft music playing. When the ceremony starts, it can get louder. 

Or do a Kanye. That works too.

@cirk:  Well, I tried. 🙁 But what mepayne says is typically how people transition, with music.

But if you ever change your mind…

Yeah, I think we just turned the first processional song up a bit higher.  And the officiant walking to the front and giving a teacher stare like “settle down now, class” is a pretty good message.

Doesnt the officiant normally walk to the front and tell everyone politely to be seated as the ceremony is about to begin?
