I have found baby oil or anything oily helps.

Vaseline (petroleum jelly) Also if you rub it on the skin around your hairline before dying your hair, it keeps the dye from soaking into your skin.

@farmersgirl: I second that. I always make sure to slather lotion around my bffs hairline before dying it dark colors.

I know it’s harsh on your skin, but nail polish remover works…lol.

I’ve heard that lemon works, but haven’t tried it.

I use a mix of lemon juice and lotion. Works everytime!

Lemon juice works… most of the time.

My 16 year old sister dyed her hair purple this past summer.  “Don’t worry, mom, it’s temporary.”  Umm, yeah.  When she went to rinse the dye out of her hair after letting it set, purple dye ran down her body.  And dyed every last inch of her skin purple.  NOTHING would get the dye off of her body except bleach.  She had to stand there naked in the shower while we sprayed her with bleach and then scrubbed.  She ended up red instead of purple, but I think she might have learned a lesson somewhere along the way lol
