Ugh! I’m sooo grumpy today!
I didn’t wake up that way, but had to help my mom with something before work and everything she did or said drove me INSANE.
I usually have a lot of patience, but I just snapped. And, now I feel bad I was such a grouch… which makes me even more grumpy.
How do I snap out of this funk?!

Manicure STAT! I got mine on Sunday and I swear my whole mood has changed! It’s the little things 🙂

A nice long walk if the weather is nice where you are! I always find that after a good run or some exercise, I’m a little tired, but it instantly puts me in a better mood!

Some exercise. Force yourself to walk or run whatever you are capable of. Then a long hot shower. I had this on Sunday and this helped tremendously.
Then being productive like prepping dinner, doing errands, organizing a closet so you can feel productive but also so you dont focus on feeling grumpy.

I was grumpy for a couple of weeks (as in really really irritable and mean to people I shouldn’t have been mean to), and finally I just had to tell myself to get over it. That seems to have helped, but it’s not nearly as fun as a manicure :o).

I was just talking to a friend about it this morning. I’m a huge grump today for various not important reasons, kind of a rolled off the wrong side of the bed situation.
I figured the cure would be to eat your fav meal for lunch or breaky or whatever.
I’m treating myself to some vietnamese for lunch. Can’t wait! Totally made me cheer up!

Definitely get some exercise and just let it all out! I also need some time alone when I am grumpy. I usually resort to cleaning my room really well and just being alone for awhile. That usually helps me snap out of it!

…stuck in the office for the next 7 hours! 🙁 Maybe I’ll do some jumping jacks in my office – LOL
Love the mani idea, too… but for some reason my nails always break for 2 months following a mani 🙁 so, I try not to get them.
Keep the ideas coming!
I sent Darling Husband a sweet email, thanking him for being wonderful… that seemed to help.
I think my mom was the catalyst of the grumpiness and now I feel bad for being so grouchy around her… what a vicious cycle. UGH

Jumping jacks in office?! Lol!!! Good one. It made me crack up.
I was constantly like that though not too long ago. Then I started working out everyday after work.
If not that, I would definitely tell myself that after work today I will go to Starbucks or some other fancy cafe and relax there. Read a book, surf the net, or just sit there watching people go by.
Just try to think of something to do JUST FOR YOURSELF. That will cheer you right up! A movie/dinner/wine maybe? This could be your ‘cozy’ night. (P.S. I think I just talked myself into this idea! Lol!)

Pick up the phone. Call your mom and apologize for snapping at her. It will take a weight off your shoulders. You will feel better.

exercise! get your heart rate up at least for a few minutes.
if you don’t have time for a long walk, then take a short one, but walk (or jog) fast to get your heart rate up! or…if your building has stairs, go up and down a few flights. that’s what I do!
also, camomile tea is very calming.

I texted my mom and told her sorry I was so grumpy. I haven’t heard back.
I also texted my niece and she totally brightened my day.

@Sasha2011: loved the ideas. I’m having dinner with a good friend tonight – so that’s definitely something to look forward to. I was amazed at how out of it I was this morning, though. UGH!

Accept it, and be grumpy for one day. Tomorrow is a whole new day 🙂
