Look for gorgeous rain photos to drool over.

Get some cute wellies for photos.

Get some cute umbrellas.

I understand you’re disappointed — but, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet and it could be sunny…. but, even if it isn’t – you will have many more sunny days being a Mrs — so, take it all in stride and enjoy your day tomorrow — rain or shine!  Congratulations… 🙂

Pinterest wedding rain photos! https://www.pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=wedding%20rain%20photos

I’m having an outdoor wedding in September in Virginia and I’m already gathering “wedding rain photos” just in case.

Run to the dollar store and get as many umbrellas as you can. Is there any way to serve piping hot coffee at your ceremony, and hand out blankets? I would LOVE to wrap myself in a blanket, huddle under an umbrella, and have a nice cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate while I watched someone I love get married!

You can make this work girl!!!

We attended an outdoor wedding in October where it rained softly during the entire ceremony. It was actually pretty and very memorable. Their pictures are beautiful! Evidently rain conditions make stunning pictures. The umbrella pictures are really cute.

My friend who is a photographer said that photos in the rain look better because the overcast  (especially after the rain has stopped) is great for lighting…I don’t know if that is true or if she was trying to make me feel better, either way I am going with it. Your pictures will look awesome no matter what!

Are there any indoor areas nearby that you might be able to snap some pictures before or after your ceremony (idk if your ceremony is outdoors)? Other than that I would embrace the rain, some of these pictures are AMAZING! Sorry for so many 😉 Sending all the best to you on your special day!

Some inspiration: http://www.buzzfeed.com/melissaharrison/beautiful-rainy-day-weddings

Sorry that the day will not look quite like you expect, but if you can meet it with a big smile, I think it will be a totally different kind of awesome. One of my best friends got married on a rainy day, and it posed a few technical challenges but she laughed it off and they ended up with some gorgeous pictures. (Frankly, if you get a brief interlude from rain and have just an overcast sky, that can make for some of the most beautiful pictures around!)

Wilson2Bee:  The weather is forecast to be erratic, so you will likely get some of everything- beautiful shots in the sun and stunning shots in the rain!

Wilson2Bee:  Is there a nice, historical location you can crash? Like a library, or a hotel, or a museum? Pay the entrance fee for a museum, and take some photos next to some HUGE landscape portaits. I can’t find it now, but there’s a local museum that has this awesome painting of a waterfall (has to be taller and wider than an SUV… it has its own wall at the museum), and a bride took her photos next to it, and throughout the museum. It was awesome.

My university has a Gothic style library, and I’ve seen brides and grooms taking their photos in the library all the time.

Get some fun colorful umbrellas, a cute pair of rain boots, and maybe some handwarmers for the guys to keep in their pockets if it’s cold- you can all pass them around if you’re standing around outside.

I know it’s kind of a downer, but the day will still be wonderful!  And weather can change so quickly- you never know!  Just enjoy getting married!!!

You’ll never know for sure about the weather until it actually happens. I actually think it could be fun to have a rainy wedding day and rainy pictures. Water is critical for life, so maybe it’s symbolic of your new life together!

Embrace it! Rain can make for some very romantic photos.

ETA: Early congratulations! No matter what, at the end of the day you’ll be married! Have a wonderful day!
