we are not having bridesmaids or groomsmen, and were trying to also stay away from ushers. my fi and i have a few kids between the two of us and we are having them in the ceremony with us instead of the typical bm and gm. so there arises the problem….how do we get our parents and grandparents down the aisle? mil and her husband can walk together…but my mother is not married and i dont want her to walk alone. and stepmom will be alone since my dad will be with me. grandmother will also be alone.
would it be appropriate to have the groom and my stepsn walk them down, and then the groom castay up after walking down the last lady. and my step son either stay aahere with him or come back to walk in with his sister during the processional. we are having a fairly casual wedding outside on a farm. we are having a sign that will say to choose a seat, dont worry about choosing a side…and if its hot something like grab any drink, then grab any seat. so its fairly casual in terms of formality.
i am all open to other ideas…im stuck

I like the idea of groom/stepson walking your mom/grandmother/stepmom down the aisle
