My wedding is at 11am, but the photographer wants to start at 9am.
One hair and make up person says it will take 8 hours to get everyone ready. Another has an assistant, but she wants to stagger it so that I’m ready by 9am, but the bridesmaids won’t be until 10am and show up later. This does’nt work with the photographer’s timeline.
I don’t know what to do. Should I hire 2 or 3 seperate people? Do make up and hair artists get upset if their competition is also there?
I was thinking about hiring one woman for the bridesmaids, and another for my mom and myself.
What have other brides done with their timelines and hair and make up?

are all of you getting ready at the same place, if so hire someone that somes with assistant, so you can cut down the time to get ready. my cousin wedding start at 9 last time, and we have too get start at around 5 for make up and hair. for 4 person.

It seems you want to do photos before the ceremony and this is why the photog gave you such a timeline. Maybe talk to the photog and see what is planned for those 2 hours. Are the photos to include getting ready shots? Will it be a problem if BMs are not ready until 10? Can you move some photos to after the ceremony like maybe those with your mom so she can get her hair done while you and BMs are taking photos? It sounds like you need to be making a master time plan and fit everyone in, not just following the photog’s plan.

Why on earth would it take 8 hours for everyone to get ready? Are you requiring that they get their hair and makeup done? I guess if it were me I would have my girls do their own hair and makeup (especially since your wedding probably isn’t super formal if it’s so early in the day) and just have my hair and makeup person come at seven to help me get ready…
Though if you really want all your girls to have professional hair and makeup, I guess I would go with the makeup artist who will stagger it to have you ready at 9 and your girls ready at 10, and have your photographer re-work the timeline.

You will definitely need multiple people if you want all the girls to get hair and makeup done too, I’d actually say one each! Unless you want to be awake at 5am or earlier and I seriously doubt your girls will be ok with that!

I think some of the pictures will probably be getting ready pictures with only about an hour or so of actual posted ones but I would check with the photographer.
How many people need to have their hair and makeup done? I think you should have at least a seperate hair and makeup person.

Hire an MUA that brings on her own seconds and assistants.

The people I’ve been contacting either work alone or have one assistant, which still seems like not enough. And this is only for hair. The only person getting make up done is myself. I have 5 bridesmaids and my mother getting their hair done. And some of the girls have short hair. It seems like it shouldn’t take so long, but I don’t know what to do.
We also have to do a rehersal around 10:15am. The venue, a restaurant, doesn’t want us to do it the day before and swears it’s pretty easy and that’s what all the brides do.
I don’t want to spend too much time after the ceremony taking pictures because I want to enjoy the party!
