The past year I’ve had escalating cystic acne, no idea why! Changed BC pills and it’s still bad.

I also reccomend using Ole Henrickson’s 3 little wonders (truth serum, night rejuvenating in teh green bottle, and sheer transofrmation lotion). These are marketed as anti-aging but wow did they noticeable within days help my acene and skin, your face glows and it’s so smooth.

To help with the acne I purchsed Ole Henrickson’s green facial cleanser with the toner.

I bought a Foreo Luna Mini 2 (GET IT) it smooths the skin, breaks off the dead skin without damaging.

So yea this is the year of transformed skin!!

Are you a redditor? I highly recommend checking out the Skin Care Addiction and Asian Beauty threads (I’m not Asian, but I have oily skin and Asian beauty products are apparently formulated for this.) They cite a lot of great sources, are incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, and there are before and after pictures galore!

I also have textured skin and started using OCM (oil cleaning method, I use jojoba), Cerave moisturizers (the regular one in the tub and the PM), sun screen (Biore perfect milk, spf 50 pa++++), and chemical exfoliators, especially BHA. My face looks so different! My pores look smaller, my skintone is much more even with almost no more redness, the texture is gone, and I don’t break out nearly as much.

I had a clarisonic and it caused a lot of irritation and redness, so the chemical exfoliants are a much better option for me. Wayne Goss has a great YouTube channel and did an overview of his clarisonic experience. He said it was too rough and caused broken capillaries and irritation. I’m sure it’s great for some people, but if you have sensitive skin it might not be worth it. If I do use something to physically remove skin cells, I use a soft wash cloth and gently brush my face with some Cerave cleanser, or, if I have a few minutes, OCM.

Good luck, bee! The process of figuring out what works can take some time, but it’s so nice when there’s noticeable improvement!

Clarisonic will help. Also, my Fiance has bumpy skin like what you are describing, and AHA products have helped him.

OP, do you think it’s keratosis pilaris? I have it in my cheeks and the backs of my arms. Exfoliating and moisturizing is key! I see you already bought some products but I’ll tell you what I use-

I use Aveeno ultra calming foaming cleanser in the shower that I put on a facial loofah, and then use DDF moisturizing dew daily. It’s a really light lotion that won’t cause breakouts. I also sometimes use maracuja oil on my cheeks for extra moisture if I need it.

I’m a firm believer in chemical exfoliation (like AHA/BHA) over physical exfoliation (like scrubs), and I absolutely love my Foreo Luna. The Clarisonic was way too irritating on my skin, even with the sensitive brush head, and it led to more outbreaks over time. Keep with your routine and I’m sure you’ll continue to see amazing results!

I had those tiny bumps all over the back of my thighs and arms. Amlactin lotion is the only thing I use to keep my skin smooth. I use it on my face too!

This is my struggle too!!! I have tried all sorts – micro needling, peels, masks, laser, facials + I drink about 3 liters of water a day 🙁

i swear I had great skin till I turned 20?!

i do find the bentonite clay mask is good(ordered from amazon) and if I do a steam at home then scrub with salt, wash then put vitamin e / eight hour cream on my skin it is a but nicer but it’s not quite the texture I’d like!!!

As much as I hate to say it I think it’s kind of a hormonal / nutritional issue as colonic irrigation is said to help flush out toxins And improve skin. I live somewhere out of reach for that but I would recommend an internal cleanse too as topical products can only help us so much. If that’s something you can try I would suggest it?
