it was a long journey that’s for sure lol. First off, I love all thigns beach related so it was kind of a no brainer to have a beachy themed wedding. Problem is we couldn’t find a venue we liked near the water nearby and it became such a hassle of trying to recreate that feeling anywhere else that I eventually just abandoned the idea.
I started googling weddings and found a photo of a bunch of bridesmaids wearing soft yellow and loveeedd it. So I decided on having pale yellow (which is in a lot of my venue) and soft pink and cream accents. Well turns out I have very pale bridesmaids who don’t look the best in yellow lol so I ended up having to make pink my main colour but chose a softer coral as my Fiance had made me promise that we weren’t having an all pink wedding lol. So now the guys are wearing soft yellow vests and my ladies are wearing coral 🙂 Picking the colours was one of the most stressful aspects of the whole planning process so far! lol

I love how black, white, and red all looks together, but we’ve been to LOTs of weddings with that color scheme in the past couple of years. I really wanted to incorporate red into our wedding since it’s my favorite color (FI also likes it), so we decided on burgundy with hints of espresso and ivory. Those colors will also work better with our venue as their decor is based on rich mahoganies. These colors don’t match up with a spring wedding, but we don’t care too much about that aspect 😀

Our colours are tiffany blue and red. I’ve always wanted red. However, whilst looking on the internet for aqua inspiration for our kitchen I saw it with pink and was amazed how striking it looked and thought the aqua would be a good summery colour to go with the red.

I chose his favorite color RED! Everyone knows its his favorite color since he never goes a day without wearing a certain something that has RED in it 😉
I’m also adding my colors as well 😉

I actually heard of my idea on Facebook from a military page.. We decided to have our wedding on 11/11/11, and as Fiance is in the Army and it’s Veteran’s Day, we decided on navy blue, light blue, poppy red, and white.. I absolutely love it..

We started out with absolutely no color scheme – multicolored was the plan. And then the more inspiration pictures I kept collection, the more I realized what I was drawn to. Our main colors will be green and grey – black and white will be our neutrals. Fuschia and aqua/turquoise will be here and there, just for accents.
We’re going for an earthy organic feel, but still modern.

At first I thought that I HAD to choose my colors based on the season. Our wedding is in July, so I played with the idea of bright orange and blue and maybe a soft green, but they just didn’t resonate with me.
I’ve always been drawn to darker, warmer shades and in the end we decided on colors that reflected our general tastes more than the season. Our wedding will have deep plum, forest green and gold tones. Some people have shared with us that it looks a little autumnal for a summer wedding and possibly they’re right. But I couldn’t be happier to know that our wedding will be filled with the people, things and colors that we love!

I switched my colors because our date changed to earlier in the year. None of them are my favorite color, which is blue. But I poured over inspiration pics online and had seen the eggplant purple and lime or light green and loved it. So that’s what we picked. Fiance was fine as long as I didn’t change my mind again 🙂
