I”m a big fan of “About a year after people stop asking me when *insert whatever rude thing they’ve asked you about*”

I’m usually polite and say: “That’s a personal decision, and as soon as we’re successful, we will indeed let everyone know. Until that time, don’t worry about it.”

One person in particular really kept pressing the issue. I was with my SO 4 years before we got married. (We were married 2 weeks ago on our 5th anniversary.) I replied with: “Contrary to popular belief, my sole purpose on this Earth is not to breed. If or when I choose to do so, I will alert the social media as necessary.” Mean, but I couldn’t help it. It was an old crotchety aunt that kept nagging me about marriage and babies….

Those kinds of questions do get annoying. I’m getting married next year and people are already asking me when I’m going to have a baby. I just reply with “Not right now” and leave it at that. And then there are some people who tell me when I SHOULD have a baby. Ugh, do people not have manners or sense or privacy nowadays?

People ask me all the time when I am going to get engaged/married to my SO.  Especially my mom.  I never know what to say because it is waiting on my SO to be ready.  So I usually just say, “SO hasn’t asked me yet” or “ask SO that question.”

@MissCountryGirl727:  “As if we can just go to the house store and pick out the perfect house in a weekend.” You made me lol 😀 But seriously, how awesome would that be?

When I’m asked a personal question, I make sure there’s an awkward silence before I say, “Uhhhh, well we haven’t done it yet, so….I dunno, whenever feel like it.”
