My honeymoon was in a cabin in the northest almost by the Canadian border and it was lovely. Since there were a few small towns around we picked a few restaurants to try as well as explore the towns themselves. We spent a lot of time reading by the water, watching movies, playing board games and of course sexy times. We had a firepit so at night we had that going with a couple of drinks and just hung out We aboslutely loved it.

otterbee :  My FH and I are going to be staying in hotels, but it is out in a canadian national park, so not a ton of nightlife ๐Ÿ˜€

I would suggest picking a funny book and reading to each other. A jigsaw puzzle might be fun, and of course games are always a good bet.

I think the landscape will also lend itself to activities. Just have a few things firmly planned, and you’ll naturally drift toward other things that interest you.

It wasn’t our honeymoon, but we did go on a vacation to a cabin and we had a really great time.  Lots of sex and hot tubbing, cooked meals together, more sex, drank wine, went hiking, more sex, dinner out and a bit of exploring, but mainly sex and cuddling.

It influenced us to buy a cabin on 10 acres and we do basically the same stuff almost every weekend!

You’ll be fine.  Don’t stress about it and don’t overplan.

My husband and I go camping a lot and it’s such a great way to disconnect from everything else and reconnect with each other. Between the active stuff like hiking, kayaking, whatever it’s a lot of great conversations, relaxing and drinking, and just enjoying each other’s company.

The first camping trip we did I had similar worries of what will we do but honestly you do not need to have every second planned. Don’t stesss about it.

otterbee :  we had a low-key honeymoon (beach, not cabin) and we had a lot of sex, played board games, cooked/went to restaurants, watched movies on the day it rained, and otherwise enjoyed just being lazy and in each other’s company.

What time of year are you guys going?

Is there a place to make a campfire? That could be nice! Roast hot dogs/marshmallows and enjoy the crackling heat together. Maybe there is even a fireplace in your cabin?

– stargazing at night (if you live in a big city, you will truly appreciate this) bring a blanket and some hot chocolate and snuggle up together under the stars!

– if there is a lake nearby, I recommend canoeing or kayaking on it. And swimming of course (again, these are depending on the time of year you go)

– talking. I know this seems like such a simple suggestion, but really. Reminisce on past memories together, talk about how far you’ve come, aspirations for your future together, dreams, inner thoughts, etc. How often do you guys get a chance to do this in a zero-distraction environnement?

– reading stories to each other could be so nice as well, I second that suggestion.

– I would also bring a movie or two (or you can watch movies online for free, as you said, there is wifi)

– I would bring massage oil, because why the hell not. I’d also bring things like strawberries and chocolate (I dip them myself) and champagne, because, again, why the hell not.

– hiking and nature walks are definitely a good idea to get out and about.

I wouldn’t worry too much about it, I am sure you will both have a great time together ๐Ÿ˜‰ there is also nothing wrong with doing nothing and just relaxing/cuddling together.

How about listening to music while sharing a bottle of wine and snuggling?  It’s something we really enjoy when we’re on vacation, and for some reason, it feels so much more decadent when we’re not at home!  (Maybe try a genre of music you wouldn’t usually listen to? You might discover some new favorite music together!)
