I need some creative inspiration! My fiance and I were introduced by a colleague of mine and her husband, who is my fiance’s cousin. We’d love to honor them at our wedding. Our only thought thus far is to ask the dj to tell a quick version of our intro, to thank them, because with without them this day would never be, and then to invite them onto the dance floor while where we will play their wedding song.
I dont know that that is personal enough. Does anyone have any other ideas??

You could also thank them in your toast and program- if you have one.

Aww that’s a really sweet way to honor them. I like it and I’m sure it will make them feel very special.

I was going to say honor them in a toast, but I like the idea of having them dance to their wedding song. The only thing – are you going to do something similar for your parents? We played our parent’s wedding songs as a way to honor them during the wedding.

This is such a great idea. I was the MC at a wedding of a couple who met through me. I was a little hurt they didn’t acknowledge me (sounds selfish I know, but if it wasn’t for me, they would have never met!) I think what you wrote is nice, and even if you just added it in during your speech, and maybe got a small token to show your appreciation, I think that’s sufficient enough, and I would have appreciated that!
