- Wedding: August 2016
I have 3 nephews and 2 nieces that I’m trying to include in my ceremony – seems like a lot to me considering the overall small size of my wedding, but I sort of “have to” to prevent any hurt feelings (another story!)
My 8 year old nephew is doing a reading, my 4- and 2- year old nieces will be flower girls, and my 6- and 4- year old nephews are ring bearers. However, I’d really like to find a more unique and perhaps more special way to involve my 6 year old nephew in the ceremony rather than have him be co-ring bearer. He is my twin sister’s son and my godson. He is an amazing child and I’ve always had an extra special connection to him. He is deeply spiritual (very mature for his age!) and I know that whatever “job” he gets, he will be truly honored to have it and will take it very seriously.
Any thoughts? It’s a Catholic ceremony so there isn’t too much wiggle room but the deacon marrying us is very laid back and flexible. I’m just not familiar with little boys doing anything other than ring bearer and my mind is stuck on it.
Thanks for any suggestions!
