I have 3 friends who will have babies within 1-2 months before my wedding. 2 of them are not revealing the name of the baby before it is born. I want to invite the newborns, but how do I address the invitation to a person who doesn’t have a name yet? Baby Smith?

I just said “The Lastname Family”

@Pumpkin_Bee: Can you do Mr. and Mrs. Whatever and Family? Or The Whatever Family?

“Baby Smith” is indeed what babies are called before they are named. It used to be that parents would not reveal a child’s name until its baptism, sometimes for weeks or months after the birth. During that time it would simply be called “Baby” as if that were its name.

How cute! We’ll have a couple too. We didn’t put the newborns’ name on the invite, we didn’t even think of it. But of course they’re invited lol and our friends know.

We had about 5 of these … I went the “Baby Lastname” route.
