- Wedding: June 2012
Hi bees, I need your advice. Several months ago, my Future Mother-In-Law mentioned that she has a locket-style necklace in the family. When her last son got married, the bride didn’t wear it because she already had jewelry, and she was sad. She showed it to me, and I told her I didn’t know if I would wear it as a necklace, but I definitely wanted to carry it with me somehow, maybe in my bouquet. Fast forward to now, a few weeks before the wedding. I am not wearing a necklace, just earrings. I was still hoping to carry it with me attached to my bouquet. But when I mentioned this to her, she said that doesn’t think that will work because the greenery will ruin (tarnish?) the silver. She asked if I already had jewelry and I said yes, but I do still want to carry the locket somehow.
Long story short–how can I incorporate the locket into my wedding day look? I don’t want to actually wear the necklace. I can’t wrap it on my bouquet. She mentioned putting it on a silver chain as a bracelet…which I guess I could do, though the style of the locket doesn’t really match the rest of my attire. Any ideas??
