I originally chose plum and teal as my wedding colors. My florist sugested peacock feathers to get this theme and I loved it. So we are having peacock feathers in the bouquets and in the cocktail hour centerpieces. However, for the reception, our centerpieces are plum purple candle with a silver swirl design on them (LOVE these!).
Since we are not having floral centerpieces at the reception, can you help me think of some ways to incorporate the peacock theme in the reception? I don’t want to just not follow through with the theme. I am even thinking of sending out my invites with a peacock feather instead of vellum paper 🙂
Any ideas, pictures, etc. are welcome!

What if you just tuck a peacock feather into the napkin/menu bundle on everyone’s plate (if you are serving this way). Or you can put the favors at each table setting a simply sneak a feather into a ribbon tied on the favor? Tie a feather onto the back of each chair. Make a small “platter” for each candle to sit on-it could be round and you could spread several feathers with all the tips pointing out to cover the circle (glue them down obviously). That would be a sublte but interesting touch to the candle. Or if you are having place holders, you could simply attach a peacock feather to each holder. Here’s some fun images that I found.
ohh, and this owas exactly what i was trying to describe above!
