I mean yeah, you’re going to go to the bathroom more when you drink more water. It’s not embarassing.

what you’re doing is good, you’re actually re-training your bladder. It may be a bit shrunken from not going pee as often. By drinking more water, your bladder will expand to a bigger size to hold more volume and you won’t have to go as often 🙂

Are you chugging the water is that why you’re getting nauseous? Set a goal amount for the day and dont chug just drink regularly.

saturnian :  Everyone pees, sweetie. When I was young I found bodily functions embarassing too. But now that I’m older, I have realized that literally nobody else cares how often I go to the bathroom. Do you have to ask someone for a key to the bathroom at work? That’s the only reason why I might have a second thought, but even then, isn’t your health more important than hiding the fact that your digestive system works? Drink more water!

How do I deal with it? I walk to the bathroom and go pee like every other privileged human on the planet. Hydration is really important.

Either drink more water and be hydrated or don’t drink enough water and shrivel up like a prune. Not a big deal to pee.

I mean i get this in a different way… I’m a middle school teacher and from 7-10:15am I can’t go to the bathroom. Hello morning coffee. Try to focus on sipping and measuring out your consumption. Also retraining is a real thing so gradually increase your intake. And then realize no one pays that much attention to your bathroom habits

Do you have a fun water bottle? I bought a Hydroflask, and I think it is so pretty and I love drinking out of it.  I also love that I know how many ounces are in the bottle, so I can calculate how much I should drink by a certain time of day. Some people swear that straws help them drink more water.

Have you tried adding fruit (or veggies) to your water for a more desirable taste? What about flavored sparkling water? My favorite brand is Spindrift.

Do you drink coffee? This also counts towards your daily water intake.

I teach, and I find it to be a real pain when I drink more water. However, like most people, I am able to hold my pee for an hour and take a 2 minute break before my next group comes in. If not, my students (often 4 – 11 years old) can behave for a minute and a half while I am gone.

I totally understand why you might not drink enough during the day! It really stinks when you don’t feel you can spare the time to pee. But realistically, it isn’t going to kill anyone. If my 6 year-olds can survive for two minutes, so can your business executives.

It’s great you’re trying to drink more –  as others have said, don’t worry about it and if someone makes a comment just tell them you’re drinking more and it’s going right through! Completely normal

I just wanted to add that you can also increase hydration with your food by having soups and foods like cucumber that are naturally high in water content

I drink 2.5 litres of water a day. Im forever filling up my water bottle. Who cares if I’m always going to the bathroom.  It’s not embarrassing.

Drink water, don’t feel ashamed to go to the bathroom. I doubt people notice it anyway. Just make sure you drink water regularly and not in big portions at one time. Let’s say if you just drink one liter in one sitting, you’ll very likely to flush to the toilet before your body truly benefits and absorbs.

There is no way to stop yourself from having to pee.

There is a great book called “Everyone Poops” you should check out.

Peeing is normal, literally everyone does it, no reason to be embarrassed about it. I drink almost 100oz of water a day, I’m in the bathroom every hour.

You know what might be embarrassing? Kidney failure due to dehydration because you were so worried about peeing that you chose to not drink enough water.
