Hey Bees, I’m revisiting my contract. I was originally told that I couldn’t get any money back since I was the one to postpone/want to cancel. However, that was May. We still can’t even enter the country for our wedding due to COVID, so could 6.2 apply?

This is France right? If weddings are allowed by the govt, it’s not really their problem that you are banned from entering. For 6.2 that’s if the govt cancelled weddings kinda thing. They are still ‘able’ to provide the service, it’s just you who can’t get there.

I think it may hinge on whether you wanted to cancel or postpone. If you wanted to cancel and they offered postpontment instead, they may be in the clear since there was still the possibility of them providing you the services. If they are not letting you cancel OR postpone and you are not allowed in the country, you could have grounds (will need to speak to a lawyer).

yes this is for France. I’m hoping that maybe the lense could be tainted since they are a Destination Wedding Company targeting US brides. But maybe I’m being too hopeful.
